Thanks purushotham
I personally don't believe in pushing so much on academic brilliance but majority of Indians do so definitely there is a very big market. But I am concerned how you going to make your place in such a competition heavy ed tech market. Why would people choose your platform over other big names with highly skilled educators If you go something like an personalized mentor whose can handle limited students. You can distinguish youself and can create a sperate category. It just an instant opinion, you need to research thoroughly to take this turn. Overall an strong differentiation factor is lacking currently.
Absolutely, and thank you for the honest feedback! You're right strong differentiation is key. Our aim isn’t to compete with big edtechs on scale or celebrity tutors, but to create a new category focused on affordable, relatable, and personalized learning led by teens and educated housewives. Think of it as a community based micro-mentorship model, not just another tuition app. We're still refining it, and your input helps a lot!
That's a great idea, but how you will compete with competitors, in this domain lots of competitor's have already captured the market.
To target such customers you make sure your pricing is clear and transparent... And let me know anything things required from me any help and support.
Thank you! That’s a valid concern and something we've deeply considered. While it's true that the edtech market has many players, our focus is very different we’re targeting a largely untapped segment: teens and educated housewives who are eager to earn but lack opportunities, and students from price sensitive households looking for personalized, affordable tuition. Instead of competing head on with big platforms that offer standardized courses or celebrity teachers, we’re building a community driven model based on trust, relatability, and affordability. Think of it like the “local tuition teacher” experience, but brought online with quality checks, flexibility, and scalable technology.
Graspal has real potential, it solves two big problems at once, making learning affordable and helping people earn from home. The idea of connecting students with tutors like college kids or homemakers is smart and inclusive. But the real challenge will be ensuring quality and trust at scale. According to me you can introduce some fun activities for students for example ai tutor, who will teach (based on the age of the student) programing languages making it as easy as native language for kids, also some quick revision of daily studies at a schedule timing e.t.c. See from Youtube to physics wallah there are lakhs of ed tech companies so the competition is huge, but the execution should be priority.
Thanks, your suggestion is great! Graspal is tackling two big challenges affordable learning and earning from home which gives us a strong edge. Connecting students with relatable tutors like college kids and homemakers builds real trust. Quality at scale is our top priority, and your AI tutor and revision ideas fit perfectly with our vision. Competition is fierce, but execution is where we’ll win.
That is really a great idea. What's your revenue model?
In that case if I'm a tutor I'll just contact them outside the pascal why should I pay to you, instead make a zoom type product along with it , integrate so well that people have to teach only on this , sprinkle some ai - make parents believe it helps tracks their child's performance blah blah blah so they don't ditch you platform+ instead of directly charging commissions from tutors , charge for this tool cause now you already hooked parents , tutors has to obey..or for new turos give free for a limit then ask them to pay , freemium model
Graspal generates revenue by taking a modest commission on each tutoring session booked. We also offer premium subscriptions for enhanced features like priority tutor matching, performance insights, and marketing tools unlocking scalable, diversified income while ensuring affordable access for all
No Joke but idea has a lot of potential it's hard to find teachers after a certain grade that too in affordable fees if scales properly Can be the Instagram For Students.
For real🚀, that's what graspal is planning to do , btw thanks for your feedback Shubh !!
