Artists already struggle with low pay, adding a platform fee makes it even harder unless it guarantees high paying gigs Verified profiles and secure payments sound great but without big name artists early on, organizers may not trust the platform Market is already crowded with gig-finding apps, standing out without a unique edge or exclusive talent will be tough

artists already try to get an agent or manager and pay them 100 times more for gigs and even if an artist gets one or two gig a month, paying a small subscription of 200-300 wont be that big of a deal our early agenda is to push more indie and small artists and not go towards big events or music festivals thats why we'll be teaming up with clubs, cafes, bars, corporate, college events where big names don't matter that much the market is actually not that crowded, whatever platform exists today either has a horrible ui that just doesnt build your trust, we'll be making our platform relate with the artists and organizers and this is just a small step into making this into something bigger and better

there is already fiverr for that and focusing on one niche at the start is a better option than trying to cater to every market as we get a stroy and brand value that we can market

You have to know subscription buiseness, Suppose I am a small artist. For me what is the proof that I will get benefits after taking subscription from the platforms. There is a trust issue. You have to understand how much money consciousness is Indian market. As I said to you , as an organizer point of view, once I get in touch with artist, I will bypass you and directly go to the artist from next time. I wouldn't pay for broker.

yes you are right, india is a very price sensitive market but we're practically approaching two business instead of consumers, so instead of wasting hours and making contacts, if an artist gets a list of organizers right in front of them, it would be more like an investment rather than subscription, and also after talking to many smaller and indie artists I've come to know that many organizers ghost an artist without paying them, we tackle with the introduction of escrow payment so trust can be built and yes we know bookings can happen outside of getgigs thats why getgigs will not only be a booking platform but also an experience you can get from it where it would be really hard to take the booking process outside of getgigs

There are many agencies which are doing this. Most of the artist doesn't do by themselves. They work with agencies. Why would artist be in your platform? Most of the artist sign with agencies and the agencies manage them. Famous artists has their own team to manage this. If you are a event organizer then for artists you have to contact with their team , famous artists wouldn't do themself. The big event organizer can directly contact with artist why would they pay unnecessarily to a broker like your company ? However this can done for small artist, rising artist and unpopular artist and performers. If I am a event organizer I will focus to save money and no need of broker. And if I am a artist I will possibly sign with agencies.

there are couple of ideas in our mind on getting even bigger artists join our platform, even if they are managed by a team and our business model is botb subscription and commission, subscription for artists and commission for organizers, and if an user is getting benifits from our platform, i dont see why they wont continue to pay to use

The possibility of big artist going through this is very very low however we can't say anything about future. Your plan to start with small event and small and raising artist is good . But How would you make it into buiseness? What will you implement ? Subscription model or commission model. Subscription model can't work if you take from event organizer. Less probability from artist too. At first commission model seems good but it also won't work. Because suppose I am a small event organizer, I will use your platform once and after being connected with artist, from next time I will bypass you and directly contact with artist. So As buiseness point of view it can't scale after a certain point.

all your concerns are valid that's why our plan is to first get smaller and indie artists onboard along with club events, corporate and college and not go for the big fish at start, and organizers have to do a lot of work for finding a right artists, sometimes even have to pay a middleman for them and overpay artists too, with getgigs they'll have a wide range of artists to select from, quicker and efficient booking process, escrow payment for trust and also the feature of promoting their events

Yeah, that’s a fair concern, and it might happen to some extent. But the goal with GetGigs isn’t just to connect people—it’s to make the whole process smoother and more reliable. With secure payments, verified reviews, and features like chat, gig management, and profile boosting, there’s a lot of value in staying on the platform. Over time, as artists and organizers see how much easier and safer it is, they’ll naturally prefer booking through GetGigs rather than dealing with the risks of going off-platform
