Can an third party app block another app. Would the app permissions and the phone permissions allow that ? Genuinely , I don't know but I think it's not going to be an easy job. Did you consider all the legal problems?
Instagram will not know about it that some app is blocking even if insta knows they can't do anything about it as the person is giving permission to control app usage to it and it's completely legal . Thanks for the concern ๐๐โค๏ธโค๏ธ
Understood, but that's my concern. If some person is using Instagram for 10 mins and disiplyn blocks Instagram after that, wouldn't Instagram has a problem that another app is blocking Instagrams business. If a person chooses to block it voluntarily that's a different issue, Instagram can't fight that. But would it allow another app regulate it without any legal contract. This is just a thought that passed my mind. If you figured a solid way around this issue, Disiplyn is a great idea probably something that's needed in current era
App blockers are already available in playstore you can check it out.You just have to give some permission then it can block other apps....You can also unblock them on your own .But Disiplyn's USP is you can't unblock them on your own before the focus period overs.In case of emergency only your friend or partner or parents can give access to you.
Idea is good but what is your selling point.
Here's our initial revenue model 1. Subscription:- โน99 per month or โน999 per year or one time :- โน4499 2. In app purchases:- you can purchase slots for customised roast and sound or they can buy pre made premium packs. 3. Ads :- Not too much but you can access only two times during focus mode by yourself watching an ad for 5 minutes and then you will need permission from your Focus guardian to unblock this.
