𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗮 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗲 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻-𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲? Even after billions of smartphones sold, we still don’t have a device that gives complete digital freedom. A real “Open source phone ” would be built from open hardware blocks (CPU, modem, camera, battery, storage) with fully transparent firmware, so no company can secretly track or control what the phone does. The software would run in dual mode , a de-Googled open Android for daily apps and a pure Linux mode for privacy-heavy tasks — both controlled by the user, not a corporation. The entire ecosystem would run without central servers: app store powered by FDroid, updates from public community repositories, and sync handled by private peer-to-peer tools instead of Google or Apple cloud. No background trackers, no anonymous analytics, no hidden permissions just full ownership. A truly open phone where every layer is inspectable, replaceable, repairable, and built solely for user freedom, not for harvesting data.
