The hardest truth I have learned in building is not about product or capital. It is something that can break you if you ignore it. Your vision will never break you, your people will. You can survive slow months and you can survive pivots and even survive funding winters. What you cannot survive is the wrong energy in the room. If you pick the wrong people, you feel stuck even when the strategy is right; you feel exhausted, even when the roadmap is strong and you feel betrayed, even when the mission is pure. People do not drain you through incompetence, they drain you through inconsistency and excuses and empty promises. The painful part is that the damage always shows up late. Hiring is not an HR function. It is a founder function. It is not about talent. It is about intent and how people show up when pressure arrives. One wrong hire slows you more than competition ever will and one right hire lifts you more than any investor ever can. http://bit.ly/49YIjeQ
