I went out last weekend to buy a washing machine… and ended up learning more about sales than appliances. We visited three well-known stores in the city. Every single sales rep politely asked for my phone number. Guess what? Not a single call. No one bothered to check if I’d made a decision, had a question, or was waiting for a better offer. It made me wonder, why even collect numbers if you’re not going to use them? A few days later, we visited another branch of one of those same stores. Different rep, same product line. And guess what again? We ended up buying it there, because the rep took initiative, understood what we wanted, and offered a better deal. That day broke two myths for me: 1. Prices *can* vary for the same brand across different branches. 2. The difference between closing a sale and losing one often comes down to one simple thing *the follow-up.* It’s crazy how often businesses lose revenue not because of bad products or high prices, but because someone forgot to make that one call. A missed follow-up is often a missed opportunity. Sometimes, it’s not about better marketing, fancier CRM tools, or discounts. It’s about remembering there’s a person waiting at the other end of that phone number. P.S. I'm also known as "The Follow-up Ninja". 🥷
