The rising rates of anxiety, depression, and loneliness among teens often linked to social media, constant comparison, and dopamine driven apps like Instagram and YouTube Shorts. Big tech builds apps to be addictive ,infinite scroll, notifications, likes , all crafted to hook young brains that aren’t fully developed yet. Early access to smartphones means easy exposure to explicit content, often without parents knowing. Instead of playing outside, socializing face to face, or learning hobbies, many kids are glued to screens, losing touch with real-world experiences. But In today’s world, being tech-savvy is essential. Shielding kids completely may leave them unprepared for the digital future. The real question is should society delay access to smartphones… or teach kids to handle them before the world throws them into it?
