Hey guys, was reading this crazy story about a blockchain developer yaar, and it got me thinking aloud like the introverted nerd I am. Imagine this: bhai sets up a fresh computer, starts coding in Cursor (that AI editor forked from VS Code), and downloads what looks like a legit Solidity extension for his crypto work. He's no noob—deals with crypto daily, careful with everything. But boom, few days later, half a million dollars gone from his wallet! 😱 Turns out, the extension was fake, from this open marketplace called OpenVSX. It looked real—copied description, high downloads, even ranked higher than the genuine one. Sneaky part? It installed remote access malware without him knowing, and hackers just waltzed in. Haha, reminds me of those times I install random apps and regret later. But seriously, makes you wonder na? We trust these extensions like old friends, but they can bite hard. Tip from the story: If something doesn't work after install, uninstall immediately! And maybe install via official VS Code first to be safe. What do you all think?
