indian parents | read i'm 21 now, and even today, i don’t have the freedom i wished for back when i was in class 10. i had only one goal — to become financially stable and independent. coding was just a hobby, so i learned from youtube and practiced on my 4gb ram laptop. people often say, "it’s been 6 years and you’re still just a frontend developer?" but that’s because coding is a passion, not my main goal. my parents gave me a lot — a good room, fan, cooler, notebooks, pens, erasers, food, clothes, shoes (even nike retro 5s). they provided almost all the physical things parents usually give. but they never supported me mentally. they scolded me often. i convinced myself it was for our good, but deep down, i was just trying to do good for myself. i believe no one fully becomes a parent unless they support both physically and mentally. giving birth and keeping a human survive with physical things never make sense. – shajid khan
