well thorough research upfront can prevent huge missteps, especially understanding your product's gaps, over-analyzing can lead to "analysis paralysis", where you never actually start. Often, the most crucial drawbacks and market gaps only become truly clear once you put something, even imperfect, out into the real world. The key is likely a lean approach, do enough research to formulate a strong hypothesis, but then start early to test it quickly and iterate based on real user feedback.
