In that podcast, when Vijay Mallya said he offered to settle and the banks rejected it, let’s be honest the banks did the right thing. He was offering just ₹2,000 crore against ₹9,000 crore in loans. And the final offer? It came in 2015, way after the damage was done. He had the money much earlier but chose not to pay. Let’s not pretend Indian banks are clueless. This just feels like a well-rehearsed attempt to change the story and make himself look like the victim. But let’s face it, Vijay Mallya doesn’t deserve sympathy, let alone a platform to clean up his image. If he’s so innocent, then why isn’t he coming back? What’s stopping him from facing the courts and proving it? You can’t run away and then expect people to believe your version of the story. Just because someone speaks confidently on a podcast doesn’t mean they’re telling the truth. We really need to stop falling for this kind of well-packaged PR drama.
