Since when did fitness become more about looking good in the mirror than actually being fitter and healthier? When did we all agree that using performance-enhancing drugs (steroids) like EPO, HGH, trenbolone, clenbuterol, anavar, Winstrol, etc. is somehow acceptable in the name of "fitness" while destroying our health and fitness? I'm not against weightlifting or resistance training, I do that myself. I'm against this whole toxic fitness culture prioritizing looks over health, functionality, and actual fitness. There’s a difference between having shredded legs and training your slow-twitch muscle fibers to build the VO2 max, lactate threshold, stroke volume, etc. needed to run marathons. There’s a difference between having shredded arms and actually having the ability to knock someone out or climb. Forget skills and functionality for a second, what about the health of your liver, kidneys, lungs, heart, eyesight, and hearing?
