Took a friend to Wenger’s Bakery today. He’s a big-time dessert lover, and seeing his reaction after tasting their stuff was something else. He was genuinely so happy — like he found gold in a pastry box. Wenger’s has been around since 1926. That’s 99 years. And every time I’ve been there, the crowd outside is crazy. No seating, no fancy decor. Just a small outlet in CP doing things in a very structured way. You walk in, decide what you want, get a receipt, pay at the counter, and collect your food from the takeaway window. That’s it. No chaos, no confusion. Just a clean and fast process. What makes it work is the combo of consistency, pricing, and simplicity. While others are busy scaling and branding, Wenger’s is quietly winning just by doing what they do best — and doing it really well.
