Has anyone tried to implement hybrid peer to peer video on demand system? Normal CDN + storage costs >$1000 each month which is way too much I am trying to build one I don't know what Will be the future. if it succeed we can stream lots of videos free of cost. Twitch, YouTube all do this in some hidden ways. my approach is to make use of free cloudflare R2 for storage and workers and CDN for caching (which is forbidden by cloudflare but still we can do it cloudflare may block us) then we generate a magnet link on our servers and store it for metadata and share it to the players now who plays the video will also help us by seeding the files to nearby peers so we offload pressure from servers and distribution small portion of it to our users in return they get free access to all premium contents. and nowadays internet is super cheap here and lots of upload bandwidth is wasted every day. suggest something if you seen any thing like that for context search for peertube, bittorrent
