It should be FUN, not some masochistic endurance test. If you're miserable for years on the promise of some future payoff, you're doing it wrong. Our most innovative products came during periods when our team was well-rested and creatively engaged. The "no pain, no gain" startup mentality produces burned-out founders making desperate decisions, not visionary leadership. Build a company you actually want to work at—revolutionary concept, I know.
