This is such a ridiculous overgeneralization that it borders on parody. Of course Khosla would say this - it positions his firm as part of the elite 10%. Classic marketing disguised as straight talk. I've worked with dozens of VCs across multiple startups, and while some were certainly useless, many provided crucial introductions, strategic guidance, and operational support that directly contributed to our success. The idea that 70% are actively harmful is absurd. Bad investors usually just do nothing, not actively sabotage companies they've invested in. This is just Khosla trying to sound edgy while promoting his own firm.
