I did some research and found out why iOS apps are larger than Android apps. The App Store shows the uncompressed install size, while Google Play displays the compressed download size. iOS apps are fully compiled into native code, whereas Android apps are partially compiled. Although iOS supports “app-thinning,” it still includes all localizations, while Android uses AAB and split APKs for device-specific resources.
