I won't say Congress destroyed India. It's like satisfying your fragile ego. India was following Soviet model because Soviet had done some tremendous work in pulling up the poor people from their nation. India naturally followed the path. It's after the cold after ends the Soviet union fell. The situation hasn't changed much. India is still a poor country with the 1-2 percentage enjoy the maximum wealth and rest 10-20 in middle class and rest big population still in poverty. Check the niti ayog report more than 80 crores are still dependent on ration for their daily lives.
