I would say look how passionate they are about marketing in general and marketing your product. The marketer who loves your product is a big green flag. And, Look through how confident they are in their strategy. Yes, a strategy results is unpredictable and can take wrong sides but a marketer should be strong about their strategy. And yes results are very important, But sometimes what our brain does is we over judge a marketer based on 3 or 4 bad performances even though he ran several successful campaign. So be careful in judging a marketer.
