intresting part is that these items Don't have any minimum retail prices and that's why they are charging extra commisions but for fmgc item's their prices are low in compare of local market because of bulk purchasing but still the pain point is handling and delivery fees

I did the same comparison an year ago, and got the same conclusions. However, the difference is too small for the average tier 1 and tier 2 consumer to mind. Hence, the growth story continues for e-commerce.

That difference is due to ppl getting used to convenience of pressing few buttons n getting stuff home, no petrol, no time invested. Q-Comm has absolutely no obligation to match local market prices.

add fuel cost to the right side. add time and energy cost. stop shaming these platforms. they provide convenience, get this inside your head ffs.

All the individual prices were jsut relatively high but these small differences made up such a big gap in the final cost. Wow

Yeah I agree with that above price difference, but not necessarily the prices are always will be same as above.. For example a person who orders groceries weekly basis in his area is cheaper or mostly equal to the pricing of the local market and then there are many ways to cut down the price like using right credit cards and even extra special discounts on the bill and also by purchasing it from the platform, it gives reward coins in which we can use to order next time.. So, sometime they help to save some or the other amount in which we can save some money. There may be some issues or other situations but Qucik commerce platform help to save some amount.

lol they will never match the local vendor's level of customer obsession till they start delivering free dhaniya or nimbu mirchi. Mom was shocked once about it, added to the cart and said iska bhi pay karna padega?
