Hi solo Unity dev here , i wanted to publish my app to playstore but problem is , new policy of all playstore it is requiring DUNS number and for applying it requires gst and other sort of stuff , basically only registered business can only publish their app to appstore not any individual. unity dev or app dev here?knows how to do it ,or any alternative way.

Maybe launch via a download option through your own website? Try to gauge the interest and get reviews and feedbakc before you decide to go all in on it and create a company around it.

You can still publish your app on the Play Store as an individual developer without needing a D-U-N-S number. Just register for a Google Play developer account, which doesn't require business details like GST unless you're registering as a business. If you want to run things more formally later, you could look into setting up a sole proprietorship. Alternatively, consider other platforms like itch.io or the Amazon Appstore, which have fewer restrictions. Btw upvote granty if you like the idea

Isn’t this policy a bit restrictive for indie developers? It might stifle innovation by making it harder for individuals to get their apps out there.

See if any friend might be nice enough to let you use their account to publish. But then if anything goes awry, their account might get suspended because of your app.
