I'm studying PG in Robotics engineering in Tamilnadu. I've an aim to build a business in Robotics and automation to ease the tough and repetitive work in our country, not only in industrial automation also for personal use. But I have no experience of working. I don't like to work on any companies. So, to build a business in robotics what are the steps involved and what should I learn before starting a business.

I'm also building a Robotics startup. Here's what I can suggest: pick one specific problem that you want to solve, and then you can design a solution around it. Design the mechanical components in a CAD software, use ROS2 to design the software architecture and simulate the robot. If it works in simulation, try to build it physically. If you have access to a 3D printer, through your college, you can print the parts. If not, you can order these 3D printed parts online. Buy the electronics and build a basic prototype. You can then use it as a proof of concept demonstration and try for grants, funding etc. to build the next iterations.

Hardware😍. Look, don't just try to build business. Build top notch hardware: Robots which can solve real problem and be mass produced. Then, hire a co- founder who will handle business side coz in this field your product i.e robots are most imp.

Hardware is hard. Software startups can pivot easily, but with robotics, each iteration costs time and money. Plan carefully.

Before building anything, validate your market. Are people actually willing to pay for your robots? Don't assume, research!

It’s difficult there are many certifications that will be required, you need to make a name for it, as i don’t think without credibility you’ll get any funding in this sector

India really needs robotics startup and yes you need to study robotics but if you want to make it fast then you can just go for approaching people who finish their engineering.
