Of course you might be correct. But it's all about implementing it better. For example there's a feature of edit message in whatsapp recently. I think it was first implemented in discord or something else (i don't know it though). But that feature later introduced in all messaging apps. We can't say it's a copy feature. Instead we can consider as an inspiration. If a feature or idea works well we can implement that feature or idea even more better improvements if we can. There's nothing wrong in it.
