Yes, hydroponic plants are indeed safe as they are grow in controlled environments, which means they are exposed to fewer pesticides and herbicides compared to soil-grown crops. However, there is a risk of contamination, such as from salmonella, due to the high humidity in hydroponic greenhouses. Proper washing and cooking can lower this risk. and if we talk about nutritions then hydroponic crops can be equally or more nutritious than soil-grown crops, depending on the specific nutrients provided in the water solution used for growing them. However, there are aspects like carotenoid content, which may be lower in hydroponic vegetables compared to traditionally grown ones.
