What do you think guys, big boys such as TATA, MAHINDRA, EXIDE, AMARA RAJA, GETSUN POWER, etc. will let other new babies play the game in EV Sector? Because, I'm seeing that this well established Big Boys have created or creating entire in-house eco system for EV from tech, manufacturing to infrastructure. Plus, strong financial backing and lobbying power in government making not so easy to new babies play a game.

When one sees something booming & has a great scope for the future, big boys are the ones who own the game basically. First things first, china has the world's largest lithium production units & is definitely a monopoly in lithium ion battery manufacturing. I'm sure these companies have already partnered up to get as much units of li-ion batteries as possible as the next 5-10 years gonna show an extreme increase of EVs for sure.

The majors may be focused more on scaling up mainstream EVs for private use. But specific subsegments like commercial EVs, last-mile delivery, niche city mobility solutions etc. could allow startups to get an early foothold.

It’s definitely going to be tough for new players to break into the EV sector with giants like TATA and Mahindra dominating the landscape. These companies have deep pockets and established relationships, which gives them a significant edge.

You raise valid points. The incumbents definitely have significant advantages - deep pockets, existing manufacturing capabilities, supply chain networks, political lobbying power etc. It won't be easy for new players to make serious inroads

the EV space is still relatively nascent and evolving rapidly. There could be opportunities for agile startups to innovate and carve out niches that the big boys may initially overlook or struggle to serve as nimbly.
