I personally don't have any problem with our education system however seeing the number of students appearing for JEE and UPSC exams shocked me. On an average 10 lakh students appeared in each exam ageing somewhere between 21 in UPSC and might be even lower in JEE exam. Due to the high competition students are forced to start preparing at a very early age - I know a guy 14-15 year old preparing for JEE and I have rarely seen him outside. But that's not the issue here you see the selection rate of both JEE and UPSC is 7-12% and 0.2% respectively despit such a low success rate students waste their 5-6 years in preparing for these exams only to get rejected. A majority of them don't even have any backup plan and absolutely no skill to be employed in reputated companies. I know that if this competition will not be there we won't get Bureaucrates like Dr S. jaishankar but students must realise the importance of plan B and execute it in the right time. Thank you.
