As a college student I would definitely choose reddit over any other new social media app for connecting with people like me

Most people who had tried it during my college time failed, ultimately because of the fact that you get an user for an avg 3 years, and then it’s gone. When will you monetise, retain. Etc. secondly there are 4000+ colleges i think, IIT,IIMS are closed doors, to strangers. It’s not a viable idea in my opinion.

I think it will be confusing for the user to be on the app while deciding to use it professionally and informally. also how will you segregate these two formats of communication on your app. if it comes to building communities reddit is alr a very great place.

Okay I got your idea but as far as ik there are many confession pages on Instagram they can be specific to the college or job or even in general for all like why would people pay you if they want to do smth like this they can create their own one acc and make thier fake IDs and do the same thing on Instagram no need to pay anyone right?

You sure you will not pivot to the community based SM? (Like every college having their own community?). I am not saying that would be bad, but if that's inevitable due to the business model, plan ahead, since you will be competing with Discord and the likes then.
