I think mentality plays a very big role here. People don't want to keep 2 YouTube apps on their phone so YouTube Premium got cancelled. Spotify has better UI and features. And their marketing is also quite good. Meanwhile Gaana did their marketing but were unable to attract customers. Whereas Jio Saavan attracted some people but Spotify won the game world wide
