Hey I am on Medial • 1y

Summarising some basics to the VC world and Startup world here below : Please note, that this is my opinion and view (may or may not be correct), but in the end this ecosystem is about building a perspective and sticking to it. 1. My definition of a startup is a business which can reach 1000 Cr in revenue within a period of 10 years using up to a maximum of 500Cr as capital infused. This 1000 Cr should have a EBITDA pool of about ~50% and should be able to grow at a pace of about 20% annually from the 1000 Cr number over the next 5 years. Typically most of such business are tech enabled. Also the revenue can be higher with a lower EBITDA %ge. But the business has to have a potential to generate 500Cr EBITDA in 10 years with a 20% potential of growth for the next 5 years, post which it can stabilise.
