Do I have chances of getting accepted in a good VC firm if I haven’t been an entrepreneur or worked in Bain/McKensiy etc? For me, I work in big-tech as a techie and have undying interest in the startup ecosystem.

The ecosystem is small but is there are always ways to ensure there are higher chances of success. Find out ways in which your experience can help the VC and why you over others. Please note, this is not an industry where people are hired but they have to break in. You are frankly at the precipice of extreme capitalism, so we are all under a sword of delivering value in the last possible time. I am not from an IIT and have not either worked for T1 Consulting/IB firms but am here. Have 3+ years of experience before the VC stint.
