The DMA designates "gatekeeper" services from six major tech firms, including Alphabet, Amazon, Apple, Meta, Microsoft, and ByteDance. The law mandates interoperability and user choice. Microsoft and Google accept the gatekeeper label, but others, like TikTok, might challenge it. TikTok disagrees with its designation, while Apple and Meta have yet to respond to reports suggesting they might contest it. The deadline for complaints is Nov. 16.
