The USPS has unveiled its first EV charging stations at an event in Atlanta, as part of its plan to upgrade its service and assemble one of the largest EV fleets in the US. With over 66,000 delivery vehicles in service, the USPS aims to electrify its vehicles to reduce air pollution and increase safety for its mail carriers. In addition to opening new sorting and delivery centers, the USPS plans to purchase 45,000 battery-electric Next Generation Delivery Vehicles (NGDVs) by 2028.

Paris-based electric vehicle charging startup, Electra, has raised a whopping $330 million (€304 million) in a Series B round, entirely in equity. Electra focuses on fast-charging stations and already has 172 active stations with nearly 1,000 charging points in France. The company plans to roll out an additional 105 stations and aims to deploy 15,000 charging points across 2,200 stations by 2030. The funding round was led by Dutch pension fund service provider PGGM and Bpifrance's Large Venture fund, with the participation of existing investors. Electra's competitors include Ionity and EVPassport.

Ford is allowing its electric vehicle (EV) owners to access Tesla's Supercharger network through free adapters until July. The move comes as a solution to the dissatisfaction EV drivers face with the availability of public charging stations. By adopting Tesla's North American Charging Standard plug, Ford is providing its drivers with access to 15,000 new chargers, expanding the total number of chargers to 126,000 across the US and Canada. This move is expected to improve customer satisfaction with public charging availability. However, access to older Tesla charging stations and select newer ones will still be exclusive to Tesla drivers.
