Tesla has shut down its Dojo supercomputer project, ending its efforts to develop in-house chips for self-driving technology. This decision follows the departure of about 20 team members to form a new AI company, DensityAI. CEO Elon Musk emphasized the importance of consolidating resources rather than pursuing multiple AI chip designs. Tesla will now rely on external tech companies like Samsung, Nvidia, and AMD for chip production and computing needs.

Morgan Stanley's report suggests that Tesla's Dojo supercomputer could add $500 billion to the company's value by giving it an edge in autonomous driving, robotaxis, and selling software to other businesses. The report claims Dojo will provide breakthroughs, granting Tesla an "asymmetric" advantage in various industries beyond automotive. While the idea of supercharging machine learning with more computing power and data is promising, it's important to note that predicting specific advancements in AI remains uncertain. Tesla's success in autonomous driving and other fields will depend on the practical outcomes of its investments in Dojo and data-driven technologies.

Morgan Stanley estimates that Tesla's supercomputer, Dojo, designed for training AI models for autonomous cars, could potentially increase the company's market capitalization by nearly $600 billion, or 76%. Tesla began production of Dojo in July and plans to invest over $1 billion in it through next year. The supercomputer may open up new markets beyond vehicle sales by enabling devices with cameras to make real-time decisions based on visual input. Morgan Stanley upgraded Tesla's stock recommendation to "overweight" and raised its 12-18 month target to $400, which could result in a market capitalization of around $1.39 trillion.

The Supreme Court invalidated a provision in the 2020 Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Regulations that allowed regularization of environmental norm violations, reinforcing the need to prioritize ecological well-being over economic activities. This decision aims to align environmental regulations with economic development, urging the government to establish a transparent system addressing violations. Increasing non-compliance costs can discourage breaches, ensuring ecological sustainability complements economic growth and regulatory certainty, crucial for investment and development.

Bengaluru-based O'Be Cocktails used to claim that its cocktails were perfected through over a hundred iterations to deliver a consistent blend for consumers. Alcoholic beverages startup O'Be Cocktails has shut down its operations after operating for more than five years. “It was one of the most difficult decisions for myself to shut down the brand; however, in the long run, we couldn’t justify the direction. After extensive retrospection and analysis, it all came down to one key realization: Alcobev is not a consumer-backed but a commoditized industry, which does not align with our vision of creating a premium and convenient cocktail experience for our consumers,” said Nitesh Prakash, founder and chief executive of O'Be Cocktails in a Linkedin post. “Over the past year, we have made every possible effort to find a suitable buyer for O’ Be ensuring the flow of cocktails doesn't stop, but we believe we have now exhausted all remaining possibilities for a sale,” added Prakash. O'Be raised Rs 3.5 crore in an angel round led by First Cheque, Letsventure, Ola’s Bhavish Aggarwal, Tracxn founder Abhishek Goyal, and Sprout Investments in August 2021. The Bengaluru-based startup also raised an undisclosed pre-Series A round led by Inflection Point Ventures in November 2023. O'Be Cocktails used to offer a variety of drinks available in Goa and Bengaluru. The brand used to claim that its cocktails were perfected through over a hundred iterations to deliver a consistent blend for consumers. O'Be Cocktails was operational in Bhutan and nine states of India. The company also said that it was supported by a network of 22 private distributors and 2 government contracts, making its products accessible in over 1,700 premium wine outlets.
