TERN Group, a global talent mobility platform for healthcare workers, has raised $24 million in Series A funding led by UK-based Notion Capital. The round also saw participation from RTP Global, LocalGlobe, EQ2 Ventures, and Leo Capital, along with existing backers including Presight, Tom Stafford (Co-founder, DST Global), and senior healthcare policymakers. This brings TERN’s total funding to $33 million. The proceeds will be used to expand into new geographies, enhance its AI-powered Clinical Workforce platform, and scale training operations. Founded by Avinav Nigam and Krishna Ramkumar, both former executives at Urban Company and Cars24, TERN enables Indian nurses and care workers to access global careers with transparent hiring, AI-led matching, and zero-fee recruitment. TERN claims to have grown 10x in the last year, nearing Rs 200 crore in annualised revenues, with a presence in 13 countries including India, the UK, Germany, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. Over 650,000 professionals are registered on its platform, with partnerships with NSDC, TNAI, and state governments to scale training and compliance. TERN competes with global healthcare staffing and mobility players such as AMN Healthcare and MedPro International.

Space tech startup Dhruva Space has raised $15 million (Rs 123 crore approximately) in its Series A round from Indian Angel Network Alpha Fund and Blue Ashva Capital, as well as Silverneedle Ventures, BIG Global Investment JSC (BITEXCO Group) IvyCap Ventures, Mumbai Angels, and Blume Founders Fund. The fundraise also includes a Rs 10 crore venture debt from Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) and a Rs 14 crore venture debt from Technology Development Board. The proceeds will be used for upcoming spacecraft manufacturing facilities, strategic business acquisitions, and enhancing product offerings, the company said in a press release. Founded by Sanjay Nekkanti and Chaitanya Dora, Dhruva Space has launched as many as eight payloads in the last 24 months, including the Thybolt satellites mission in November 2022 and the LEAP-TD mission on 01 January 2024. The Hyderabad-based startup is active across space, launch, and ground segments, and supports civilian and defence clients worldwide. It offers satellites teamed with Earth Station/s and Launch Services as an integrated solution or individually as technology solutions to power space-based applications on Earth and beyond. Over the past few years, several space tech startups such as Agnikul Cosmos, Skyroot Aerospace, Pixxel, Bellatrix, GlaxEye, Dhruva, Vesta Space, Digantara and InspeCity have managed to raise decent funding. In June last year, spacetech startup Digantara raised $10 million in Series A1 funding led by Peak XV Partners (formerly Sequoia Capital India) and Kalaari Capital. In the same month, Pixxel scooped up $36 million in a series B funding round from new investors such as Google.

Farmley raises $40 Mn in Series C round led by L Catterton Farmley, a Noida-based healthy snacking brand, has raised $40 million in its Series C funding round led by global consumer-focused investment firm L Catterton, with participation from existing investor DSG Consumer Partners. The proceeds will be used for capital expenditure, expanding distribution channels across India, enhancing exports, and investing in product formulations and technologies, Farmley said in a press release. According to an ET report, the funding includes 30% secondary sales by early-stage investors, including Insitor and Samunnati, along with employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs). Founded in 2017 by Akash Sharma and Abhishek Agarwal, Farmley offers snacks such as makhana-based munchies, date bites, seeds, trail mixes, and roasted nuts. The firm sources directly from over 5,000 farmers across multiple regions and operates five processing units. According to TheKredible, Farmley recorded a revenue of Rs 230.66 crore in FY24 while posting a net loss of Rs 26.5 crore. While the company has yet to file its audited financial report for FY25, it claims to have clocked Rs 370 crore in revenue for the last fiscal year. Since its inception, Farmley has raised around $55 million, which includes a $2 million seed round in 2020 from Omnivore and Insitor, a $6 million Series A round in August 2022 led by DSG Consumer Partners and Alkemi Growth Capital, and a $6.7 million pre-Series B round in December 2023 led by the BC Jindal Group. Farmley is currently piloting its products in international markets, including the United States, Australia, Canada, and Singapore, as part of its global expansion strategy. It competes with other healthy snacking brands such as Happilo, which raised $25 million from Motilal Oswal Private Equity in 2022, and True Elements, in which Marico acquired a 53.98% stake in the same year.
