OpenAI cofounder Ilya Sutskever to exit

OpenAI cofounder and chief scientist Ilya Sutskever has announced his departure from the company after almost a decade. This comes on the heels of OpenAI appointing Jakub Pachocki as its new chief scientist. Sutskever's exit follows a period of uncertainty at the company, which saw CEO Sam Altman being fired and subsequently reinstated. OpenAI recently unveiled its new AI model, GPT-4o, capable of realistic voice conversation and interacting across texts and images. ChatGPT, launched in late 2022, has experienced fluctuating worldwide traffic but is now returning to its peak usage.
