Naxatra Labs raises $3 Mn pre-Series A led by Rainmatter Deeptech startup Naxatra Labs has raised $3 million in a pre-Series A funding round led by Rainmatter, with participation from a group of founders, operators, and angel investors. The round saw backing from Mohit Tandon (Delhivery), Himanshu Aggarwal (Aspiring Minds), Vijay Shekhar Sharma (Paytm), Aloke Bajpai (Ixigo), Anupam Jalote (iCEM), Narayan (Ather Energy), and others. The proceeds will be used to expand product lines, strengthen R&D, and scale manufacturing capacity. The firm plans to increase production to 50,000 motors per month while also growing its engineering and operations teams. Founded in Ahmedabad, Naxatra Labs designs and manufactures high-efficiency electric motors for electric vehicles and industrial use cases. The company builds motors end-to-end, covering electromagnetic design, validation, and manufacturing. It has spent over four years developing its R&D stack and has already moved several products from lab-stage development to commercial production. Naxatra is currently working with multiple domestic customers and is also supplying to export markets. Its motors are used across EV traction and industrial applications, positioning the company within India’s growing energy transition and manufacturing ecosystem.

Astrogate Labs raises $1.3 Mn led by Piper Serica Spacetech startup Astrogate Labs has secured $1.3 million in its pre-Series funding led by Piper Serica Angel Fund. The proceeds will be used to accelerate further the development of its laser communication terminals for space and additional use cases in terrestrial and airborne applications, scale operations, and strengthen partnerships with space agencies and defense organizations. Founded by Nitish Singh, Yogeshwaran J, and Subhajit Chakraborty, Astrogate Labs provides technology to improve data downlink for small satellite constellations, helping them transmit data more efficiently to the ground. With over 25,000 small satellites expected to be in orbit by 2030, current radio frequency systems face severe bandwidth limitations and spectrum congestion. Astrogate's laser communication solutions claim to provide a scalable alternative for high-speed up to 10 Gbps, secure data transmission. Astrogate Labs has also received recognition for its technology innovations including DRDO Dare to Dream 4.0 and graduated from the Seraphim Space Accelerator APAC Program in 2023. The Bengaluru-based company has been backed by Speciale Invest, SatSure and Anicut Capital, who provided early funding to support the development of its innovative technology.

Climate-tech SaaS startup LogicLadder has raised $2.5 million in its Series A round led by Singapore and Vietnam-based BIG Capital and Zerodha’s Rainmatter. The firm is backed by investors including ONGC, Shell and IIM Lucknow EIC. The proceeds will be used to expand its global footprint in South Asia and North America. Founded in 2011, LogicLadder’s premium platform ‘The Sustainability Cloud’ is used by enterprises to manage ESG, account for Scope 1, 2 and 3 carbon emissions, meet environment compliance and generate sustainability reporting. According to LogicLadder, the software follows global standards like GHG protocol, SBTi, GRI, CDP, CSRD, SASB, BRSR, CBAM and GRESB, among others. Additionally, its products – TSC Water, TSC Energy, and TSC Enviro, allow organisations to achieve efficiency-led decarbonisation and sustainability in water and generated waste. The firm claims to be working with over 1,000 customers such as NTPC, BHEL, PVR-INOX, Mother Dairy and others, along with 40 channel partners.

Bengaluru-based sports-tech startup StepOut has raised $1.5 million in a Pre-Series A funding round led by Rainmatter by Zerodha. The round also saw participation from SucSEED Innovation Fund and Misfits Capital. Rainmatter had earlier led the company’s seed round in late 2024. The proceeds will be used to expand international operations, deepen investments in AI and computer vision, and scale product capabilities. StepOut also plans to expand beyond football into amateur sports and other disciplines over time. Founded by Jeet Karmakar and Sayak Ghosh, StepOut is an AI-powered football performance and intelligence platform focused on player development, match analysis, and scouting. The platform is used across youth, semi-professional, and professional football. Since its last funding round, StepOut claims to have analysed over 25,000 matches, tracked over 150,000 players, and reported 3x year-on-year revenue growth with a 90% customer renewal rate. The startup currently serves 120 clubs, academies, and federations across 23 countries. StepOut’s platform offers tools such as AI-driven match analysis, automated highlights, performance dashboards, live match analytics, and advanced football metrics including xG, xA, PPDA, and player impact scores. It has been deployed across tournaments like the Dream Sports Championship and elite domestic competitions. The startup works with clubs and federations including AFC Ajax, Rayo Vallecano, Bengaluru FC, Hong Kong FC, and the All India Football Federation, and is running pilots with global clubs such as Real Madrid, Chelsea, Fulham, and Espanyol.
