Microsoft is strengthening its free logging features in certain products to assist US government agencies in defending against foreign state-sponsored threats. This update comes in the wake of a cyberattack last year, which was attributed to a Chinese state-sponsored actor known as Storm-0558. Despite China denying any involvement, Microsoft has expanded its Pureview Audit logging features to all US federal agencies, allowing them to better analyze and detect cyber-espionage attempts. The upgrade will be granted to all agencies, regardless of their licensing tier. The move aims to enhance cybersecurity measures and protect sensitive government information.
