Kota's largest coaching centre, Allen, slashes salaries, student admission drops

Allen Career Institute, a prominent coaching centre in India, has reduced the salaries of its faculty and administrative staff by 20-40%. This decision comes as the institute faces a drop of 35-40% in student enrolment compared to the previous year. The decrease in admissions is attributed to factors such as the opening of coaching centres in other cities, parental concerns over student suicides in Kota (where the institute is located), and increased competition among coaching institutes. The salary cuts have raised concerns among the faculty, who had previously written a letter expressing their disappointment to the institute.
