Indian Space Station will enable research in Bioastronautics, biological research, drug discovery: Isro Chairman

India's space agency, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), plans to establish a space station that will enable astronauts to conduct various research activities. The station will focus on areas such as bioastronautics, biological research, drug discovery, and material science research. ISRO is also exploring collaboration opportunities with other nations to build and utilize space stations, as well as joint missions. The space agency has approved four projects, including the Chandrayaan-4 mission, a Venus Orbiter mission, a new generation launch vehicle, and the Bharatiya Antariksh Station, with a budget of around Rs. 22,000 crore. The long-term vision includes landing on the moon by 2040 and operating a space station by 2035.
