IBM to buy Software AG's enterprise integration platforms for $2.3 bn to bolster AI, hybrid cloud biz

IBM is set to acquire Software AG's enterprise integration platforms, StreamSets and webMethods, for 2.13 billion euros ($2.33 billion) to strengthen its AI and hybrid cloud offerings. The deal will enhance IBM's capabilities in application integration, API management, and data integration. Software AG is mainly owned by private equity firm Silver Lake, which currently holds a 93.3% stake. The acquisition is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to be completed in Q2 2024.
