Google AdSense to move from pay-per-click to pay-per-impression model

Google AdSense, a popular advertising platform, is transitioning from a pay-per-click to a pay-per-impression model. Publishers will be paid each time an ad is displayed. This change will become effective early next year and will not require action from publishers. The update aims to provide a more uniform way for publishers to be paid for their ad space across Google's products and third-party platforms, helping them compare with other technology providers. This change will not impact the type or quantity of ads that publishers can display on their websites. Google has also updated AdSense's revenue-share structure to offer a consistent way for publishers to compare fees across various technologies used for monetization. Previously, AdSense processed fees within a single transaction, but now it's splitting the revenue share into separate rates for the buy-side and sell-side. Publishers will receive 80% of the revenue after advertiser platforms take their fees. Overall, publishers will continue to keep approximately 68% of the revenue.
