GoodEnough Energy invests ₹450 crore in BESS gigafactory in J&K

Indian energy company GoodEnough Energy has announced plans to establish a Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) gigafactory in Jammu and Kashmir. Initially, the facility will have a capacity of 7 gigawatt hours (GWh), increasing to 20 GWh by 2026. The factory will produce advanced BES systems, aimed at assisting high CO2 emission industries in achieving their green targets. The company has committed to investing over INR 450 crore ($60.28 million) in the gigafactory, which is expected to reduce over 5 million tonnes of CO2 emissions annually once at full capacity.
