Gen AI SaaS startup Vodex raises $2 Mn in seed round

Generation artifical intelligence (AI) startup Vodex has raised $2 million in its seed round from Unicorn India Ventures and Pentathlon Ventures. The funds raised will be used for global expansion and to scale their business to at least four-folds in the next one year, the company said in a press release. Co-founded by Anshul Shrivastava and Kumar Saurav, Vodex uses its Generative AI solution to craft voice conversations that closely mimic human interaction, enhancing outbound sales calls with a more personal and engaging experience. Vodex offers businesses a tool to expand their reach, qualify leads, and close deals with speed and scale, all while delivering a natural and engaging customer experience. Since 2022, Vodex claims to have empowered businesses worldwide, with calling needs in the USA and Canada regions. In the Gen AI space, Ema scooped up $25 million which is the second largest funding for an early-stage startup operating in this space. In December 2023, generative AI startup Sarvam AI raised $41 million in a Series A round led by Lightspeed along with participation of Peak XV Partners and Khosla Ventures.

KonProz, a generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) startup, has raised $700,000 in a new round led by Dr. Ruchi Parekh, RDB Group and angel investors. The proceeds will be used for building a Generative AI intellectual property for the legal domain, team expansion and scaling operations to broaden KonProz’s platform capabilities. Founded by Piyush Chopra and Shiladitya Dash, KonProz leverages emerging technologies such as GenAI to build SaaS solutions for the legal, tax and regulatory space. Since its inception, KonProz claims to have received significant attention for its flagship product, KonProz GPT, the first GenAI tool trained specifically on India’s tax, legal and regulatory laws. Since the release of its phase 1 product in November 2023, KonProz has over 2,000 active users including senior professionals from the Big4s and Tier 1 law firms, and aims to now build a comprehensive suite of products. In the past six months, generative AI platforms have managed to score decent funding in their early stages. In December 2023, Sarvam AI raised $41 million in a Series A round led by Lightspeed while Ema scooped up $25 million which is the second largest funding in this space. Neysa bagged $20 million in Series A while Vodex raised $2 million in its seed round.

Neysa, an AI cloud and platform-as-a-service startup, has secured $20 million in seed funding led by Matrix Partners India, Nexus Venture Partners, and NTTVC. The funding will help drive the Generative-AI-cloud platform as a service and observability for India and global markets, the company said in a press release. Co-founded by Sharad Sanghi and Anindya Das (CTO), Neysa aims to help its clients discover, plan, deploy, and manage their Generative AI projects cost effectively and secure their AI landscapes in the cloud and at the edge in a consumption-based model. Neysa says its integrated approach and industry vertical solutions will help accelerate Generative AI adoption in enterprises across India and globally. The Mumbai-based company is planning to roll out its services in Q3 2024. “Our goal is to leverage this funding to push the limits of innovation, assisting our clients with the power of our end-to-end Generative AI PaaS ecosystem and our AI-engineered Observability Platform, in a way that provides demonstrable and tangible outcomes for their business,” said Neysa founder and CEO Sanghi. CTO Das added that the firm is building a future where AI integration is seamless, intuitive, and fundamentally changes the way we interact with technology. Following the popularity of ChatGPT and several other generative AI platforms, VCs are now shifting their focus to this new space. This is also evident from the steady growth in VC fundings, especially in the early stage firms, over the past few months. In December 2023, Sarvam AI raised $41 million in a Series A round led by Lightspeed while Ema scooped up $25 million which is the second largest funding for an early-stage startup operating in this space. Another company operating in this segment, Vodex raised $2 million in its seed round from Unicorn India Ventures and Pentathlon Ventures. Earlier this year, Bhavish Aggarwal’s artificial intelligence startup Krutrim SI Designs scooped up $50 million to achieve the unicorn tag, and also became the fastest one to do so. It addresses the hassles of disjointed systems and outdated manual processes associated with childcare education. The company solves this by offering a vertical AI SaaS platform built specifically for childcare. The startup claims that its platform has been used by more than 3,000 centres across 56 countries, including the U.S., UAE, Southeast Asia, Europe, and India.
