Despite the slowdown in electric vehicle (EV) sales growth, Ford is performing well in the EV and hybrid market. Ford posted its best quarter ever for selling gas-electric hybrids, with sales of 38,421 vehicles, a 42% increase compared to the same period last year. The hybrid version of the Maverick pickup truck saw a 77% increase in sales, and with new F-150 hybrids coming, Ford expects hybrid sales to continue growing. Ford's EVs also performed admirably, with sales up 86% compared to last year. However, Ford still trails behind Tesla as the second-largest seller of EVs in the US. Other automakers, like General Motors, are struggling to find buyers for their EVs but are fast-tracking hybrid versions of their popular models.
