Flipkart to pay ₹10k for mental harassment over cancellation of iPhone order

Flipkart has been ordered by a consumer disputes redressal commission to pay a customer ₹10,000 for mental harassment after cancelling his iPhone order. The commission found that the cancellation was intentional to make extra profit, constituting unfair trade practices by the online platform. Although the customer received a refund, compensation was deemed necessary for the mental harassment and agony caused by the cancellation. Flipkart argued that it was merely an online platform and not responsible for the cancellation, but the commission held them accountable.
