In an interview with Don Lemon, Musk defended his posts about airline pilots, stating that while he does not believe non-white or non-male pilots are inherently unqualified, he believes standards should not be lowered. Lemon argued that there is no evidence of lowered standards in the industry, but Musk insisted that replies on social media offer significant cases where standards were compromised. This echoes sentiments shared by others, including Tucker Carlson. Fellow billionaire Mark Cuban has criticized Musk's stance on diversity, but Musk dismissed his comments, calling him a racist.
