Cloud services giant AWS has selected 24 startups for its India-based space technology accelerator program, AWS Space Accelerator: India. Launched in 2023 in partnership with the Indian Space Research Organisation and the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre, the 14-week programme aims to bolster space tech growth in India. The startups were chosen across various space sectors, including satellite imagery, geospatial applications, and space tourism, and will receive $100,000 in AWS credits and support. AWS will offer technical expertise, specialised training, and mentoring throughout the programme. Clint Crosier, Director of the Aerospace and Satellite Business at AWS, cited India's growth opportunities and highly skilled talent as reasons for the accelerator's location.
