A federal judge has ordered Amazon.com to comply with a subpoena from the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) regarding claims of pregnancy discrimination against warehouse workers. The EEOC is investigating complaints from five women who experienced pregnancy discrimination while working at Amazon warehouses. Amazon had argued that the subpoena was too broad, but the judge ruled that the requested information was necessary for the EEOC's investigation. Amazon must now provide the specific data requested by the agency by August 9th. Amazon is also facing a separate complaint from a New York state agency regarding accommodations for pregnant and disabled warehouse workers.
