Amazon has decided to cancel its plan to impose a 2% fee on third-party sellers who ship their products themselves, which was set to take effect on October 1. The company made this decision after facing backlash and considering the potential impact on seller sentiment. Amazon had initially introduced the fee to offset its rising costs but has now reversed its course amid growing antitrust scrutiny. The move comes as the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is expected to file a lawsuit against Amazon later this month over alleged antitrust violations.

Apple has made some concessions to its controversial "Core Technology Fee" for EU app developers under its new business terms to comply with the Digital Markets Act. Apple will no longer require corporate entities to sign up for the new terms with all sub-accounts, and developers will have the option to switch back to the existing terms under certain circumstances. However, these changes do not address the main complaints about Apple's fee structure and new fees. Larger developers including Spotify and Epic Games have criticized Apple's compliance, while other tech companies have also voiced concerns.
