   Research Intern

   During my research internship at IIT Roorkee, I led the development of an animal tracking collar system focused on real-time location monitoring and health tracking of animals. The goal was to design a low-power, cost-effective, and reliable solution suitable for remote and rural environments. I was involved in the complete development cycle — from designing the hardware architecture and creating a custom PCB, to integrating Wi-Fi and LoRaWAN communication for data transmission. I implemented power-saving techniques to extend battery life, optimized the circuit for outdoor conditions, and ensured system scalability for larger deployments. On the software side, I built a user-friendly web dashboard that visualized real-time data, enabling users to monitor animal movement, activity, and environmental conditions. This end-to-end system aimed to enhance livestock management, reduce animal loss, and support smart farming initiatives. Through this project, I deepened my expertise in embedded systems, PCB design, wireless communication, and IoT architecture, while aligning technology with practical rural impact.
